Take a pause

Each year, I pause and do a year-end reflection.

I track where my hours have gone.

I dream into the future to give myself clear targets to pursue.

I re-prioritize my projects for the coming year based on which are most life-giving.

You can do this at any point in the year as a useful check-in point.

Here’s a few of the questions I like to ask myself:

πŸ”΄ What values drive my actions?
🟠 Where do I see myself in 10 years? Related to family, place, friends, and work.
🟑 What can I do today that moves me closer to that future?
🟒 What unique personality traits can I use as a strategic leverage points in my work?
πŸ”΅ What financial milestones do I want to work towards?
🟣 Where have my hours gone in the past year and how can I work smarter, not longer?

And most importantly, I write out a bunch of unanswered questions I’m wrestling with that I hope to discover answers to in the coming year.

What reflection questions do you like to ask yourself?
