We worked with the CEO and development team of Realm for 12 months to design, build, and test the community component of their generative AI app. Realm is a social platform for creators to design visual works of art using AI. The app allows creators to discover one another, remix work that inspires them, and embed themselves and their friends into their art.

Throughout the engagement, we met regularly with the CEO and leadership team for coaching calls to review our community growth strategy. The app went through multiple iterations to refine the way in which users were able to create and connect.
Early-on, we hosted a series of curated beta user sessions to get feedback from different potential use groups. These customer interview sessions helped identify a direction for the app and the ideal community we wanted to support. From there, we oversaw the design team to launch a rebranding campaign for the app and clarify the messaging and storytelling for the product.
In addition to providing virtual strategic support to the team through regular coaching and working sessions, we ran a series of outreach initiatives to test the app with different user groups, including:
Organized a Generative AI Improv Show that incorporated AI technology and the Realm platform into a live performance with improvers.
Curated the first-ever in-person AI art exhibit to take place during the 2023 Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, one of the largest arts festivals in the country. The event curated generative AI work from around the world and highlighted more than a dozen AI artists.

Hosted in-person outreach sessions for thousands of individuals at the conferences, gatherings, and various Penn State classes.
Helped develop a tailored application of the Realm app for the Penn State community (one of our localized test sites for the app) called ReimaginePennState.com which allowed users to generate unique visions of what their campus might look like in the future.
