Overview:

The DO School offers a few different programs all focused on helping you turn your ideas into action. They have built all of their programs around the DO School Method  – a comprehensive implementation skills toolkit  – to enable you to bring your ideas to life in four concrete steps. At the DO School you learn by doing. Most of their programs feature a real-life Challenge for which you are asked to co-create a hands-on solution for a major organization. This allows you to hone your new skills in the process of applying them.

The Entrepreneurship for Good Program brings together experienced leaders with the next generation of change makers. The program takes place in two phases, the ten-week Incubation Phase on campus and the ten-month Implementation Phase in the Fellows’ home countries. While the Incubation Phase is training-intense and in-house, the Implementation Phase focuses on the actual start-up of each Fellows’ venture with continued knowledge and mentoring support, wherever they live in the world.

They help their Fellows fine-tune ideas and a business plans, and accompany and support them through the crucial stages of starting a venture. The DO School provides support in the form of knowledge and networks, not money.

Spud’s Thoughts:

The DO School has so many amazing programs – and have a solid reputation for helping people to develop concrete solutions to pressing problems. I particularly like their model of applying companies and organizations who have real-life problems with young folks who are eager to develop solutions. Early in my career I did a similar project with some Fortune 500 companies and it helped me gain the confidence I needed to tackle big problems in unconventional ways.
